Do people think Ablett should have got a week for either (or both) of his incidents? I'm honestly unsure - although as a Dogs fans would have loved to see him rubbed out this week haha

Haven't looked at either of the incidents in depth tbh, but don't think there was heaps in them. Does seem pretty inconsistent with previous findings, though.

Confident for this week?

If it was any player other than Ablett...

I think this is the reason why people are pissed. The elbow didn't cause significant impact, sure, but players have been suspended for a lot less in the past.

An elbow to the face is an elbow to the face.. like, while it wasn't terrible, the potential for it to be was there, definitely. Careless.

Never confident for any given week with us at the moment, to be honest. If we don't get blown away early I give us a big chance.

Yourself?

Given our form, opponent and injuries, I expect nothing less than a ten-goal win.

You're probably right!

I'm a Melbourne supporter, though. Expecting a big loss against West Coast.

Ooooooohhhh :o....not too impressed with their form this year...
expected big things but they didn't really deliver...
Only round 9 though so can't speak too soon, but they need to really lift their game
Should have smashed GC on weekend.

Yeah thought it was pretty rich to let Abblett and Fyfe off after both of them deliberately collected someone in the face with their elbows.

Rampe has been fined $10,000 by the AFL after telling Mollison he "talks like a little girl", having conceded a holding the ball free kick during the second quarter.

Is it just me or does that seem sorta excessive punishment for mere in-game heated convo?

Meh. Disrespect is disrespect, especially to an umpire.
I think it's fair.

Also appears to be a normal punishment that when you deliberately tap someone with an elbow in the head you get off.....unless of course you don't have a Brownlow.
