Biomed: La Trobe vs UoM

Just curious, is it true that the La Trobe course for biomed is better as it is more science based, as Melbourne University's is more maths based.  I also heard that more biomed students from La Trobe are excepted into medicine. Is that true??

UoM's isn't really maths based, you do 2 units of maths.

In terms of being accepted to medicine, I seriously doubt there's a statistic comparing the two but if there was then it certainly wouldn't include the MD at UoM (because there is no official data on that course until next year)

^ UoM would more likely to have more graduates going into medicine, considering typically better students attend the uni, and so study harder for post-grads hence having a greater success rate.
You can get into medicine from any undergrad, just maintain a very high GPA and all is good.

tbh, I see a lot of students at UoM doing bugger all compared to some people I know from latrobe biomed
