hsc physics depth study- questions

Hey guys, i am currently doing my physics depth study on dc motor now. this assessment requires me to construct my own motor and then choose one factor which will affect the motor's motion. i will also have to test the variables(force, torque or current) both qualitatively and quantitatively which can affect the motor's motion. so far the known variables i have had are voltage applied from the power supply, the area and the speed of the motor(revolutions per min). i am not sure how i can obtain the current from the voltage (as i dont know the resistance) so that i can calculate the torque or force generated on my motor?
will be really appreciated if anyone can help <3
