2018 AFL Coleman Medal

As a NM fan I have to make a thread related to this.

For those that are unaware, the coleman medal is awarded to the player who kicks the most goals at the end of the season.

At the moment, Benny Brown (NM) leads it by 3 (26 goals) at the end of Round 8.

Your tips? I don't know if he can hold on... he's been quite flat lately.

For reference, here is the current tally ( end of Round 8 ):

FRANKLIN!

He has been out of it a bit, disappointing really, since his epic screw up to Tex Walker at the SCG...

But I sense him coming back... His round 1 efforts made his stance clear.

Leaderboard come the end of Round 11:

1. Ben Brown (NTH) | 35
2. Jesse Hogan (MELB) | 31
3. Jack Darling (WCE) | 28
4. Josh J. Kennedy (WCE) | 27
4. Josh Caddy (RICH) | 27
6. Jeremy Cameron (GWS) | 26
7. Jack Riewoldt (RICH) | 25
7. Lance Franklin (RICH) | 25
9. Luke Breust (HAW) | 24
10. Will Hoskin-Elliot (COLL) | 23

Honestly pretty surprised at how high Kennedy and Franklin are given their interrupted seasons (both from eight games - Caddy also from just the nine). Brown in the box seat still.

He has been well held the past couple of weeks with some stiff umpiring. Hopeful he can kick a few 5+'ers to distance himself.

There's no way brown will get enough to go back into the top spot. Even I'm not that short sighted. Also, I'd be surprised if we even won this game today. There's a tendency to have a choke on the "easy" ones with this team.

Riewoldt sits 7 goals clear. Brown would need a career high of 8 to overtake.

Number of factors contribute but Brown has really had a form slump, if we remove the whole two and three on one issue.

I'll renew my membership with NM today if he manages to do it.

Four to equal...

They're trying. Shame Benny can't kick straight today otherwise he'd already be on 5.
