Good thought patterns to employ in exam?
« on: November 21, 2020, 07:42:57 am »
It’s clear to me this is the final thing that has stopped me from achieving highly in my favourite subject.

I just don’t believe I can do it because chemistry is hard and even people who are smart struggle so how can I do it?

I can do it! This negative mindset just tells me I can’t and preoccupied me during SACs but I will not allow it to do so during the be-all-end-all; the exam.

First - tell yourself you're smart, because you are. When you look at a question, if you're not sure what to do/think 'I can't do this' when you look at it, try and ignore that feeling and reread the question, closer this time, to see what it's really saying. Keep reassuring yourself while you look at it that you can. (I used this strategy with probability in Methods since I was used to not knowing how to do the stuff.)
You can do this!! :)
