I reckon the MC's were ridiculously hard. I mean they needed TIME esp the ones towards the end.
First 2 questions for ER were good, except that one question where they asked for the value of k.

That one probability question which asked for highest and lowest possible values of y... what did ppl get for that??

Question 4 was not too bad except my n value didn't fall in the domain of 0<n<3 :(

oh yeah, last two parts to question 5, had no idea what was going on... But they were only worth 2 marks in total so...

I got y is subset of [2/11,2/3]  (idk rly)  :P
That Q was so messed up ugh
What does overall probability even mean lol

Yay I got those values  too - didn't write it as a subset tho lol

What did  u guys got for the mean in the probability question? ( when they changed the mean so like 46% or something fell within -4.5 and 0.5)

-1.5 and -2.5

I got this as well, but I have no idea if is correct - thought that was the intuitive answer but idk how to show working for it

Really? That was one of the few questions that wasn't CAS working for me--as it's basically just translating the original distribution left.

I said that because of symmetry, if it was k was an element of [-2.5, -1.5] the probability the thingo would be between -4.5 and 0.5 would be more than 0.48 (or whatever that probability was)

I only got -1.5.  :-\
That one probability question which asked for highest and lowest possible values of y... what did ppl get for that??
I got 1/3 and 3/11... did it in a hurry though so I don't know if I was right. Basically I looked at what the mean should be and what it was for the different parts, if y=0.3 or 0.7, got the answers from there.

Overall, as an exam, I thought it was pretty good. I ran out of time, which was sad (had to guess around five or seven questions :-\) but I did enjoy doing it. It was fun. Although I don't think I'll do very well, obviously. (I'm anticipating ~50% for each exam.)

did you guys get like (0.80, 2.something) for the intersection between the two lines with the p is perpendicular question?

and did you get something weird like -2.61 to -1.41 and 1.41 to 2.61 for the x values for which the height was <2?

Also for the k values where the height was <20, did you get 1<=k<7/6?

and n=19 for the binomail question?
