LEGAL STUDIES FAMILY ESSAY
« on: October 22, 2020, 01:33:00 pm »
hi, I was wondering for family, I have a plan for domestic violence including spousal violence and violence involving children as well as back up info on birth technologies only which are all in-depth.  could I get away with just knowing this info, if the question for the general area doesn't fit DV, could I use it as a contemporary issue or not as it isn't specified in the syllabus. technically it is a big contemporary issue, is there anything saying you can only talk about the specified contemporary issues? thanks

hi!
I'm guessing this is ur plan for every family law essay you would get.
from what I can see you have domestic violence and 2 contemporary issues which are care and protection of children and birth technologies.
this is my opinion, but for a 25 mark essay, I think that's a little too little. my teacher always told me the more the merrier (so people sometimes end up writing like 5 topics/paragraphs sometimes. 3 topics/paragraphs is usually enough for crime). so maybe throw in divorce or changing parental responsibilities as a third contemporary issue, as this one can tie in with divorce.
if they do ask a contemporary issue-specific essay (which has come up in the past), there is always another question that is pretty broad most of the time.
so I think ur pretty set, just maybe add at least one more topic to be safe, cause u are competing with people who write like 5 different topics (which is insane.... but exist)
good luck! hope this helps :)
