Hi F Beet :)

I think it's referring to the Units 1&2 version of specialist maths.

Thanks a lot!

My school starts to offer Spesh after mid-year, which makes me only able to finish Unit2 but not Unit 1.
I got an avrage of A+ in both general and method, and probably an B+ for Spesh Unit2.

Would you think I can meet the prerequisite in this way?

Huge Thanks again!

Hi,

The exam date has now been confirmed - it is on the 13th and 14th of September at Melbourne Showgrounds. On the actual exam day, what time does the exam start (like 9 or 10 am in the morning or is it in the afternoon)? Also, is the exam marked as a percentage on average, or on superiors, or on your overall score out of 220 (60 each for 2 tests and 50 for the other two)?

Thanks,

November? Well, it's around 12:00pm most likely and is marked based on percentages of the where you are in the cohort. By this, I mean that if you are in the top 11%, you get a superior, and if you are in the next 12%, you get an above average, etc.

VCE Accounting / What score is needed on Exam to receive A+
« Last post by Gokart#5 on 28 minutes ago »
Hi,

Just 3 questions relating to getting an A+

1.) Just wondering what score you will need to get on the accounting exam to receive an A+, or A, or where this information is found?

2.) For unit 3 & 4 SAC's, what score or rank do you need to get A+ or A, or how is this worked out?

3.) What letter grades will you likely need to get a 40?

Any advice would be much appreciated  ;D

I too found it hard to find information about Kapooka and army training. My peers have recently shown me the following website.
Hope it helps.

VCE Chemistry / Re: drop chem or nah
« Last post by Sine on 1 hour ago »
iím a 1/2 student who has a 60 average in chem so far. what r my chances of getting a 30 ss next year if i find chem difficult rn. tryna decide whether or not its worth it to drop and replace with the 20-25 ss iím gonna get on my accelerant this year

i was willing to try this year but i got rlly behind during online and its just mad boring tbh
A 30 study score means that you are an average student in the cohort. So I think it would be achievable for everyone if they put in the effort.

I don't think 1/2 scores matter too much but in the context of aiming for a 30 study score a 60 average isn't too bad (depending on the difficulty of the sacs).

However, if it is boring and you don't need it for a prerequisite maybe you would be more motivated with something else?

Hi,

I just have a few questions about knowledge needed ofr Unit 3 and 4.

I am confused on whether topics like Arrangments and Combinations which are only talked in Unit 1 & 2, are these topics probably to be assesed in unit 3 and 4 exams even thought they are irrevelant to unit 3 and 4 (in the externals as well)?

Similar to this, there are things like y^=x which we are required to solve and graph in u1&2 which don't appear in u3&4. Are these also assesed in the externals?

Thanks,
Techy
As above, it is very unlikely to get tested on methods 1/2 during the 3/4 exam/sacs. There is already a lot of 3/4 content to get through and they can't test every single concept so they don't want to be wasting questions on 1/2 stuff.
However whilst the methods 3/4 exam requires knowledge on 1/2 concepts you still need to know the content relatively well.

I'm thinking of applying for the UMEP maths, and got a question about the prerequisite.

It asks us to
1. enrol in Both method and spesh next year
2. get A average in method1/2
3. get B+ in "General Mathsmatics (Specialist Maths Orientation)"

I just wonder that what does the third prerequisite refers to? Is it general maths or spesh or all the maths subjects?

Very much appreciate! Hope you have a nice day!
