Hi!
So the essay question is "how effective are legal and non-legal responses in protecting victims of DV?
I have 268 words on ADVOs, 245 on parenting orders and 305 on 1800 RESPECT.
My teacher told us to make sure legal and non-legal is equal but i've run out of word count (913, he suggested between 800-1000) and i really don't want to cut stuff out.
This is an in class essay so we just memorise our pre-written essay. I'm not confident at all about my writing speed and ability to memorise 1000+, so do you think i should just end my essay here or bite the bullet and start cutting?
Thanks :)

Hey!
If your teacher is the one marking this task, I reckon you should go with trying to start cutting down to make sure you can write about 2 legal and 2 non-legal measures :-)

Hey! I agree with FB3 - Normally I'd say it is totally fine to have a slight lean towards Legal responses, I mean, this is Legal Studies. But your teacher seems to be putting an emphasis on it so it might be worth getting something in.
Maybe trim the 1800 RESPECT paragraph down a fair bit, that might let you leave your legal paragraphs relatively untouched? :)
