Um I didn't have a life, dedicated my life in the holidays to maths, 10 hours a day of Methods, managed to finish it in 1.5 weeks-ish, did every Q in Essentials textbook. I only did that much coz I hated vce maths, just wanted to get it out of the way and then read other books. You don't need to do that much, just take your time and finish it across the whole holidays, that way you probs only need to do like 1 hr or something each day or even less! But if you are passionate and you are really interested in mathematics then you should read beyond year 12 because it furthers your knowledge and gives you much more confidence.
I applaud you. 10 hours of maths a day is wonderful, but 10 hours of methods a day... not my activity of choice.

Lol, I just buy all my maths books from Amazon - I can't stand reading an e-book from my laptop. It's too distracting, and I like being focused when I'm doing maths.

What other books (beside the prescribed VCE text) did you read for methods? I would think, because the subject content is quite limited, that the textbook would be sufficient? I do love reading problem solving books though, but of course, that's quite different to VCE maths :)

Is the stewart book "Calculus Concepts and Contexts" by James Stewart? because I have an old 2nd edition copy of it from when my bro was in uni...it's been sitting on my bookshelf along with a linear algebra book, because I thought it would be useful for when I do UMEP maths next year, but is it worth looking through it for some methods stuff?
I won the GAT: 49/50/50.
