Apparently in CAS they penalise calculator syntax. I'm not sure though, seeing as I did non-CAS, like you..

I can't imagine them honestly wanting though..

This could be right; sorry guys, i'm not sure on this. Yet what m@tty is saying makes sense, as if they'd expect that kinda working out when its not formally taught. Its like asking you to work with integrals using a sigma instead of the integral sign...
2009: Math methods: 50, Psychology: 44
2010: chem 47, further 48, Spesh 49 fml seriously and other yr 11 subs.
2011: Holidaying, screw school.
No. Not azn.

My class was taught that actually :/ I never write it though, and my teacher hasn't told me anything about not using it. But at the same time, he didn't exactly tell us about avoiding calculator syntax either ;)

Pretty sure it's always like 2 marks for the question.

So saying Pr(Z<z)=whatever is one mark then z=whatever is the answer mark.

But you could do it to be safe I guess.

I was taught it last year, just as an aside though.

What Martoman was saying was it isn't formally taught because it isn't in the study design.

I think you can communicate those like Pr(Z<x-u/o)=... (as suggested by Martoman)
Using inversenorm, z=... therefore u=....
Writing the whole function is a bit excessive
