I wouldnt say thats bad dude! Defiantly room for improvement to get that 40/40 but at this stage and considering its a neap thats pretty good!

I just did the Insight 2007 Exam 1. I got 32/40 and I lost so many marks due to stupid mistakes. I lost 3 marks because I didn't know that 'equating coefficients' was a thing.

Exam 1 is so frustrating...I feel you odeaa...

Ironically, Neap has been my best so far, at least for exam 1. I thought I was gonna full mark VCAA '06 but nope: denied by a sneaky little mistake lol

I think it's important to prioritise VCAA exams though, then maybe move on to Neap/MAV and then Kilbaha if you're feeling a bit lucky. There's not much time left so prioritisation is key.

Orson I literally just finished the exam 2 for 2007, got smashed... 70/80 :'(
Definitely hardest exam I have done so far, cut off was 17.5 marks off... I made the cut off but i made so many silly mistakes its depressing me, seriously :( I got the first multiple choice wrong, remember, when it says to find the range, don't find the domain..

Been doing a mix of VCAA, Heffernan and recently Engage (our school doesn't have many papers!)
Dropped one mark each for VCAA 2006 - got the skew of the graph wrong in Exam 2 and didn't trace over the positive part in Exam 1 (really tiny errors, but important!)
@GrannySmith were those your errors :)

Amazing scores...How did you start out? I'm stuck around the 60-65 range at the moment (excluding 70 in 2007 Heffernan), and I don't seem to be improving. I always come across a question (usually one of those multi part questions worth 10-15 marks) that I have no idea how to do. I spend time analysing my mistakes...Could you please give me some pointers?

If you, or anyone need some more resources, please hit me up.

Quick question.
I completed the course a while back, and shortly after started practice exams. In the past 2 odd weeks ive hit a real slump in my motivation and how much this whole VCE means to me. Ive gotten back on my feet and start doing exams again. I did a fair few exams prior to my slump, some of which i totally bombed as i was distracted by my phone, etc. Im planning on just starting fresh, which is bad but oh well. Should i still record the results of these other exams i bombed, or just forget about htem, and do them as im wrapping up my exam revision when i most liekly would of forgotten about them.

Ps. Is it really worthwhile only doing timed conditions with VCAA exams, ive been doing them across all my exam (brands)?

Nah don't count them, there's no point. Just ensure you properly address any mistakes or areas of concern etc.

I don't think it's too wise to do all exams under strict time conditions. If you have a spare 30 mins you can generally complete an exam 1 (unless it's Kilbaha). I'd say only the VCAA ones you should simulate as the real thing. For the rest, just do em anytime, anywhere. I sometimes even do them in the car! Haha
