Title: Ranks + 90 atar
Post by: emilyyyyyyy on September 21, 2019, 10:02:22 am
Hi, can someone please tell me why internal ranks are important?
Like if I have a good internal rank and I bomb out in the hsc, what happens??

Im just asking bc i'm not that good at exams, but my internal ranks are good, and I really want to achieve a 95+ atar :
Eng adv: 4th
Eng ext: 1st
Maths adv: 4th
Legal studies: 1st
Economics: 2nd
Modern history: 3rd
SOR1: 1st

Thanks :)

Hi emilyyyyyyy! :D

Your ranks are very good! 8) And the whole atar is made up of 50% Internals and 50% Externals. I am not quite sure on exact detail on how the wizards :D at NESA work out the whole atar calculation, and how external marks effect the overall atar, but I did find this article below that may help with your question:

https://getatomi.com/blog/how-your-hsc-ranks-work-finally/

Inside it, it reveals some of your question (I think ???)

I hope this helps! ;D
