I thought it would be useful to make this thread for people to ask for how their raw study score would scale.
Btw, the 2020 scaling report was also released: https://www.vtac.edu.au/pdf/NC3EjOZlqSP2.pdf

Anyone know what a raw 43 in Italian would scale to?

The link is not working.... (and if anyone's curious, my raw>scaled SS's are here: Eng 40>39.26, Revs 32>30.96, MM 34>39.16, TT 34>34.19)

just to note these aren't the exact scaled scores.

They're only estimates based on the scaling report. Scaling for scores that lie between 40 and 45 and 45 and 50 is interpolated.

What's the point of study scores having decimal points? If you have a study score that's .80, does that scale up 1 point or remain?

For raw study scores you get an exact rounded number so if someone ends up with something like a 44.70 this will be given to the student as a raw 45. If someone had a 44.30 this will be given to the student as a raw 44. This process is not shown to students.

Then from those raw scores scaling occurs correct to 2 decimal places.

Even for those who got a 50, the "actual" raw study score could've been anywhere from 49.50 to well above 50 (e.g. mid-high 50s) where it gets truncated down to a 50.
