Hi,
I am currently enrolled in a bachelor of science at Monash, I'd like to study medicine after I finish this degree what major in science would be best to complete. I was thinking of genetics and genomics but I have been advised not to and to choose something like physiology or pharmacology?? What would you suggest completing?

In need of some assistance, i'm currently on WES enrolling for my units, does anyone know if you have to enrol in both semester 1 and semester 2 units or just semester 1? Thanks!

Typically you'd enrol in both semester 1 and 2 units. At least that's what I did :)

If you'd like to change units for semester 2, I believe you can right up to the cut-off that for that! :)

Haha just finished my physio degree. Yeah, in first year you might have to take your shorts or shirt off at some stage, it's all a part of being able to learn in prac. Just bring shorts with you to prac and you'll be fine :)
If you do have to take shorts off there's privacy and you get covered with towels and stuff, and if you're really not comfortable with it, you don't have to. They'll tell you more about it all when you start - you don't have to strip off in your first prac session lol.

How difficult is analysis of change unit (MTH1020) for a student who only did methods? Does the class mostly include students who did specialist?

Nah the spec students tend to do MTH1030 if they want to continue maths rather than just picking the easiest unit.

MTH1020 is perfectly fine with a methods background & is a great choice if you didn't do spec in high school but want to do more than 1 unit of maths in uni.

In the first two weeks I have heard we can try out electives and make changes to them, can we try alternative units that we didn’t enroll in through WES?

Before census date you can change units but there's not any kind of "system" for trying out classes (that I know of at least).

Exactly. You can add units up until 12th March but discontinue by 30th March. So you can pick and change but after March 12 once you drop a unit you can't add it back.

Hours depends on the job so it's hard to give a generalised statement. If you go to my.monash there's a careers and work tile, that's got useful links for finding jobs on or close to campus :)
