Do you mean Linear Perspective???
(The convergence of two parallel lines to show depth and distance in art)

No, cootcoot is referring to the optical illusion that causes two actual parallel lines to look as if they converge.

Googling "convergence of parallel lines illusion" got me this:

Is it stereopsis?

It's covered in unit 3 and the exam has already been, so why do you want or need to know it?

No, I think the OP did mean linear perspective, which IS when two parallel lines look as if they're converging.
Retinal disparity (aka stereopsis) is a different depth cue.

Oh okay. I thought linear perspective was an "art" term and not a psychology term. It makes sense, now that I think about it.

Well, it comes under "depth cues used in art" (or something like that) on the study design, so yeah. But they also apply to real life.
