We were so lucky just to have the one big review rather than any other comments!!
But, there were so many images + arguments, so that kinda made up for it with section C!

I'm kinda scared about Medea though, because I did the 'honest characters' one, and I think disloyalty and dishonesty are so similar?!!
So I really hope I didn't go off track / mixed up the two during my essay  :-[ :-[ :-[

HEY guys really scared about english since its my weakest subject, im afraid because i used two booklets they may not be able to keep track of my essays, will anything bad happen? i labeled everything accordingly. also how many marks for grammar and spelling, couldnt keep track of that properly due to stress! did anyone catch the alliteration in section C?
Don't worry they'll be able to keep track! :)
Expression marks (grammar and spelling) are significant, but more marks are considered for sophistication of ideas + topic management.

With Section C, there's so limited time, that everyone chooses to focus on different techniques! I didn't do the alliteration and that's fine! Because others didn't talk about the techniques that I did!
So it's about finding some unique techniques which you don't necessarily have to name, as long as you analyse the intended impact

How did everyone feel about section c?
I was pretty happy with it and how it was targeted to a community which made it a lot easier to work with. There was a lot to work with, especially in the cartoon.

They mark it holistically! VCAA assessors always try to find things to reward you for in english.

hated them too!! thought it was just me, everyone in my class loved them

The ransom/invictus prompts were actually the worst!! Too broad if you ask me.. they had so much potential to give AT LEAST ONE good prompt but they were both disgusting

Wow really? Does anyone have a copy of them? I would love to see them. Last years were pretty good for Ransom/Invictus.

compare how the two text explores the idea that it is essential to know your enemy

compare how the social and cultural differences explored in these two texts are overcome

I hated them too! I really didn't want to write on either but I went with the first because the second one seemed way too broad, however everyone else I know chose the second one. I was so ready to write about literally anything else - heroes, leadership, unity, forgiveness, change, gender roles...
