Does anyone know the effect of having multiple batteries in a circuit? How does the current flow? If it has multiple batteries then how do you find the proper loop through the circuit? Thanks

Depends on whether the batteries are in a series or parallel. If in a series, you add together the amount of EMF they provide. If in a parallel configuration, then the EMF will be the same as if there was only one battery, but the current will be higher.
