How did you get your username?

OMG this is the thread for me.

SO, at a school camp in Year 8, we were making scones, (see my username and picture). We were getting all the ingredients ready to mix in a big bowl. I was in charge of putting the salt in. It said we needed x TEASPOONS of salt, but I had a mind blank it and put in x CUPS; which resulted in possibly the worst disaster in culinary history.

After that, people call me Sconey.

Back in late primary school, my best friend and I wanted to something verrrrry nerdy together, (surprisingly it was to do with physics) but we needed a username for it.

My username comes from combining my best friend and I's name (blason) and  we just slapped the "duo" part at the end to make it  totally original!

I kept it as I loved how it looked character-wise, it seems so neat and tidy in my opinion.

Mine's a reference to one of my favourite songs from my favourite band called 'Addict With A Pen', which is so emotional and deep I love it. I just made it more school related and because I'm relatively a nerd in my school, I thought I was an 'Addict With a Textbook'. My friends also mock me that I'm actually a calculator and I hand out calculators for free? And that my favourite novel is a methods textbook? 

I think sounds pretty corny but hey, I love the AN community and I know they don't judge.

I used to have a different username but changed because it had parts of my last name. The name ‘beatroot’ comes from my Year 7 classmate Josh who kept calling me ‘beetle root banana’. Then my friend Ellen and I decided to call each other by food names. I called her ‘Melon’ and she called me ‘Beatroot’ (as inspired by Josh). Ever since, I’ve had the same nickname.

The name ‘beatroot’ is also a reference to my full name ‘Beatrice’ which sounds semi familiar to ‘beatroot’

I don’t even have a good story. I use Phoenixfire as my username for a lot of games. Phoenixfire was already taken on here, so I added an extra X rather than think of a different username.

When I first made my account, I never dared think that I'd be posting on the forums. My initial username was literally my first and last name. I wasn't sure if I wanted my whole name out there, so I e-mailed Jamon (three times, because since I didn't get a copy of the message, I thought that it didn't send), and I gave him a bunch of name suggestions. Rodero was the chosen username, being my the first 2 letters of my first and surname. My surname is two words.

Umm.... Don't really know? Prickles - i moved from New Zealand, and they don't have echidnas, they have hedgehogs. They are honestly the cutest little thing, we used to feed them cheese!

Prickles - spiky at first, hard on the outside, but when you get inside it's a sweet little furry cute thing.

I don't really know why I chose it actually, just did.
