Can you sleep in a VCAA exam?
« on: November 16, 2020, 10:40:12 pm »
Would you be penalised for falling asleep during a VCAA exam? I have an exam for one of my bottom two subjects tomorrow, for which I know nothing about. The thought of sitting down for one and a half hours staring at an empty exam booklet is dreadful, so would they mind if I took a quick snooze?

EDIT: I slept in the exam and nothing happened. But apparently someone else got told off by a supervisor. I guess it depends on the supervisor.

I strongly encourage you to just do your best trust me, attempt every question to the very best of your abilities. Remember on the day you get your ATAR result you will be beating yourself up if you miss out on your course by 1 or 2 points because you haven't taken the exam seriously. I have personally seen people just miss out like legit 1 point under the cut-off.

Thanks, I heeded your words and it turns out there were a few questions I surprisingly could answer. Albeit I did snooze after that, I still got in a few solid marks.
