I got a 39/40 on Exam 1, and my SAC average is 99% in a very strong cohort, I think I am rank 1

If I manage to get 60/60 on Exam 2, is a 50 still possible?
If not, then is a 49?

Thanks,

Can someone please explain Q30, the last finance question? I keep getting option E. I looked at the question and started working backwards. my working out is as follows;

step 1) latest 10 yrs
n = 10 x 12
i = 2.8
[Pv =
Pmt = 0
Fv = 686904.09
py/cy = 12

found Pv = -519320

2) added the 10,000 lump payment
= 529320

3) original ten yrs
n = 10 x 12
i = 3.2
[Pv =
Fv = 529320
Pmt = 0
py/cy = 12

found Pv = -384529.16

then rounded up to 385,000 for the answer!

someone pls tell me where I went wrong :)

Since you were working backwards, you'll actually have to subtract the $10,000 instead of adding it, as you're trying to find the initial value.

So the PV of the latest 10 years will be the FV of the first 10 years + $10,000
So when you find the first 10 years FV you will have to do PV - $10000

Hey guys,
I am really panicking right now because I think I screwed up a really simple question on the exam. It was question 7 from Core. My teacher said it was 3 discrete numerical variables (C) but I only put down 1 (A). What was the correct answer and what is the logic behind it???
Thank you.. :-\

It should be 1. 2 of them were continuous and 1 was categorical
The names says it all
