Can do a double degree, and do someone like commerce/science or comm/law or if more commerce, you can do double majors without the need for double degree. I know a lot in my course who started in business before transferring to commerce and double majoring in marketing and either finance or economics. Depends what you're interested in. They do strongly suggest combining marketing with business statistics as well. Personally I'm not a maths guy, didnt have an interest in accounting or economics, slightly interested in finance now but bit late, management was easy enough

Yeah it's pretty good, depends what your interests are ultimately. Also the management and marketing majors are fixed, so you can't change them if you didn't like one. You could drop one of the degrees if you didn't like it however. Within the double there's also the option of a third major if something else interests you, as there's 8 open electives.

In terms of the study in the course, depends on subject again, I'm not a fan of mathsy stuff, so economics and stats the assignments were difficult and the exams hard, but usually you have a group of mates who you smash the assignments out with. Both tend to have a lot of oral presentations and yep essays too.

The workload isn't too bad, depending on what you are doing. First year I was doing4 units a semester along with sport (15-20 hours per week), then second semester of second year I started doing 3 units per sem, plus a job (15hrs) and sport (20-25+hrs). I'm pretty limited with time, so don't go to lectures, but most are recorded (I don't listen to them either ) but most importantly IMO the powerpoint slides are always put for each week. So with three units I'm usually there 1-2 days, just attending my tutes, it's pretty easy being a business student haha

Hm i would say im more of maths person but not that much that i would pursue a degree in it? If that makes sense. I was thinking maybe 'media and communications'  from Bach of arts and Marketing from Business specialist, like would that widen my employment ?? But with bus man is it just like how VCE bus man is? Or is it more interesting?? But thats good that the contact hours are little yay,  :D
Sorry for all these questions! IVe just never found someone who does both these majors lol  :)

If you've done methods and find maths and things not too bad, you might find you enjoy finance, economics or stats as subjects and want to study those instead, in the management/marketing degree there's not really a choice for that, unless you use all the electives to do a major in one of them. Arts/business is pretty popular, and a lot of people do the journalism/business double degree also, really depends what sort of employment you're looking for once you finish, in which case a career advisor could be worth talking to or one at monash even. I find management at uni is pretty repetitive, but there are some alright units which are better than others, most is dry and not difficult, things like employee relations and IR, but that's my opinion lol.  Not many contact hours at all it's awesome!
