I got into nossal this year, but had to decline as the travel time exceeds what is necessary. I really want to get accepted into schs :( . Just wondering, does anyone know what time the late offers will come out? and how common it is to get a late offer ^ hehe i’m desperate

I think they come out if you're next in line and they come out at any time between august 9th and November 29th

Tbh I don’t get ur shit, u put SCHS as first preference and nossal as second and got in nossal, but nossal is harder to get in then SCHS. I think u should recheck ur preferences, good luck and I hope to see u next year

if you don’t get a pd, is there a chance you’re going to get a late offer?
-
Definitely, So a friend of mine, got a pd and he failed the interview, and 9 days later he got a 2nd round offer.
Oof
I think if you get first round pd then you'll definitely get second round offer
This is just the trend I've spotted from what other people have said

so if I don’t get a pd to a school a want, does that mean i have a low chance of getting second round offers?

no probably not because generally first round pd is when you would have been accepted but you didnt receive an offer bc of 5% rule
So you still have a chance of getting in afterwards
Tbh tho you'll just need to wait until actual results come out to know how likely your chances are of getting in

i rlly hope you get a late offer :(
i got into schs and i wanna see some ppl from this forum next year yk
im sure many ppl will reject schs because of its location (its not far for me tho, since i live in the western suburbs) so there’s still hope.

I got rejected.
I went to the same tutor with my friend, and we did practice exams together. We got the same results, and i even got scores higher than him.
In the end, my friend got in, and I got rejected ;(. I probably won't have any second or late offers ;(
I kind of took it upon myself to stop hoping for a late offer and start taking action for year 10 entry. I’ve been in the same situation as you, where my friend actually got lower scores than me in tutor but made it into schs, despite being in a more competitive environment (maybe the cohort was bigger but eh). Don’t worry, because every rejection you get is a gateway to new opportunities :) (gosh that was cheesy)
GL! And keep your eyes peeled for late offers!
-
eh I come from a pretty competitive school where we need like 4 sups to get into mhs/macrob and always knew if I ever got accepted into macrob it would never be first round
-
Hey Guys,
I was wondering if any of you know if you are able to get a second round offer while also having a PD, like for MGHS, for example, if you are applying for a PD currently (I am) is it possible to also get a second round offer? Or are second round offers for other people all together?
Thanks :)

Same I wanted to know the same thing

Also, is there any way to tell if you’re higher up, or like really close to getting a second round offer? Like the time you got the PD email or anything like that?

So I submitted my enrollment forms from schs 2 days ago. I was wondering if that means I will get no more offers.
Did you get an offer lately? If you did what were your results??
-
yeh some late offers were sent out like 19 days ago
i got 3 high
1 above

Are you sure? If I got to JMSS I’m still going, which is 50 kilometers away. I’m still waiting for 2nd round
-
JMSS is about 30km from me, however I'll still definitely if I get a late offer!
-
Wait guys, I heard one of my classmates got into SCHS by second round, in year 9 to 10!
-
i got into Suzanne Cory last year as a second round, but I didn't go as I lived in the other side of Melbourne!
-
Hey anyone know if another round of offers coming out and when if there is

Offers will come in term 4, because that’s when the deadline for enrolment forms is. If you look at last year’s forums someone got a late offer to mhs in the first week of term 4.
-
yes and received a late offer for Suzanne Cory last year on the first day of term 4.

Ooooh congrats to him!!
Yes I did get into macrob
I’m not too sure if I should go to macrob or Nossal
Because macrob is 70mins away from where I live...
What do u guys think..? NHS or Mghs?
-
Nossal,
Honestly, I feel like 70 minutes is too excessive,
That's over 2 hours of travelling every single day, 5 days a week.
Just my opinion though, up to you
and congrats on getting offers to both schools!

Hmm the fact that u got an average is really working against you HOWEVER many students reject SCHS for nossal/MHS so keep an eye out!

Yeah I know the average is pulling me down!!😔
Thanks for your advice!

Hi
You would probably get a late offer because your results are good but I myself got 2 superiors, 1 above and 2 high averages and have not received a late offer. Just keep hoping as many late offers come out this month and next month. Good luck and I hope we can both get late offers!!!

Thank you! You got a really good results as well. What school did you apply? Has your school reach the 5% rule?
I really hope we both get a late offer!😀

Hi Everyone,
Will, there be lots of Late offers given in the next couple of weeks.

Yes offers will come out mainly this term! However having a PD gives you a very high chance, as I had a PD for MHS before I got a late offer. If you don’t have a PD, chances are still existent but low.
-
Does the 5 percent rule affect the late offers or not? Cause that would be f>>> up
-
um unfortunately it does. However, if someone rejects their offer, then you will get a spot
-
Hi all, I messaged Selective about late offers and wrote to me:
Late offers may be presented in the case a student declines a previously accepted offer. This may happen any time up until the end of November. Late offers will be presented in order of merit to students who have not received their highest possible preference and have not been impacted by the 5% rule.
Hope this is helpful to all.

Thanks Man0033.
