Are Clix real?Fake news. :PSpoilerNo – Clix are fictional.
This is a really good op, if you really want to write, definitely go ahead! ;DWant to write for ATAR Notes?
Well, hot diggity – this is your chance!
What’s in it for you?
1. Bruh, it’s ATAR Notes!
2. Excellent experience contributing to a well-known brand, and getting more of an insight into behind-the-scenes stuff
3. You can pass on all of your expert knowledge 8)
4. Good for résumés!
But like, what does it involve? I WANT DETAILS
1. Please calm down
2. Sure! Here are the details:
You may or may not be aware of the articles published on the ATAR Notes website. They’re pretty slick! These are the things that get promoted on Facebook and stuff – perhaps you’ve seen them there (I mean, surely you like the ATAR Notes VCE and ATAR Notes HSC Facebook pages ;)).
What you, my friend, would be doing, is basically writing the occasional article. What would you write about? Well, you may get some ideas from this thread here! Your article(s) could cover things like:
- How to do well in a particular subject
- How to nail a specific aspect of a subject
- General study advice
- What university is like
- Subject selection
- Time/stress management
And a whole bunch of other things (we’re always open to suggestions hehe)! :)Frequently Asked* Questions
Do I have to attach my IRL name?SpoilerNah – it can be entirely anonymous.
But I’m not very good at writing – is that an issue?SpoilerAll of the articles will be edited, anyway – so no, not really an issue.
When will you need the articles?SpoilerNo time specifically, but this can be worked out at a later date 1v1 (and by that, I mean via email communication, because physical social interaction is tiring af amirite).
How long do the articles need to be?SpoilerNot drastically! As a guide, check out the existing articles online. :)
I’m in Year 10/11/12 – can I still write articles?SpoilerYou better believe it!
I’m interested in writing for ATAR Notes, but don’t want to do it right now because I have heaps of exams and I haven’t studied much so I really need to do that instead of other stuff including this but also the stuff that I do on a daily basis to procrastinate like unnecessarily checking if anything has appeared in the fridge and looking a pictures of cats – what should I do?SpoilerDefinitely keep looking at pictures of cats (#teamkitty). But that’s okay – let me know and I’ll make a note of it for future reference. :)
While I agree that Clix aren't real, Joseph, I believe I have it in your writing that Clix are the meaning of life.
Prove it.
Sure thing. :)

I bet you didn't think I'd go to the effort to prove it ;)
What's the pay like? /s
Amazing.
It's not a financial payment, but the intangible benefit for you is priceless. 8)
I'm in.
I'd love to taking part in this :) I'm a fairly new member but I would hope to be able to influence somebody's High School life and make it better. Would you be able to note me down for a possibility in the future? I'm loving this community and would love to give back but just not during my assessment periods ahah.
Regards, Wales

Is it too late to sign up? :)
Would love to contribute again once exams are over. I've got a few ideas up my sleeve. ::)
I definitely encourage others to give it ago, its a lot of fun and a good way to give back to the AN community. ;)
Is it ok if I sign up now but only start writing articles after year 12 finishes. I don't feel comfortable writing an article when I'm in year 12, since I'm not the best student out there and I don't think I'm qualified enough to write articles giving people advice on something I'm currently struggling with.
Wow everyone is so keen!!! :)

Feel like the NSW end is actually the opposite! Or at least evenly matched ;D8) #humanitiesftw #historyrulesmathsdrools
If you're still looking for people to write an article I'm happy to put my hand up. :)
I'd love to contribute sometime in the future when I'm less busy with exams ahaha :)
I'm not sure if you're still looking for anyone, but I'd love an opportunity like this! I think I'd be able to write for Advanced English, English Ext, Biology and Information Process Tech. for specific subjects.<--I think tech needs more love! I'm in grade eleven and I'd love to help build a bigger preliminary community here, having been here myself since grade ten. :) I think I'd also be able to discuss more internal issues too, like motivation or burn out (two concepts I'm very familiar with).

hey, are you still accepting people? if so, i'd love to be involved!
Are you still accepting people? I'd love to do it!
I know that I am quite new to AN but I would still like to contribute to the site. I would love to give back to the community who has already helped me so much. I feel like I could provide some knowledge and tips about the selective school tests and what the best ways to prepare for them are. Hopefully it's possible!
Hey there!
The title literally captured me from the start. I'm in as well.
Lol,
And PM'ed back. Twice...
Hey, I'd be happy to do this.
Probably, after year 12, but this would be pretty cool. I know i'm only a fairly new user, but I could help with subject selection, NSW Math levels (I dropped from 2 Unit to General so I could give advice on the different nature of the courses), HSIE subjects (I do History Extension, Ancient and Legal), music and Hospitality (This is almost non-existent on this site this year).
Thanks :) :)
I'd be down to doing this.
Maybe after my trials, which is due in 2 weeks
Hi, I'm a new user but I'll love to contribute about doing a second language for VCE. :) This site has helped me since year 8 so I'll love to be able to return something to the community.
I do Japanese SL but I can try think of some tips that could apply to other languages?
I'm in! I'm pretty new to AN but I think it is a great idea and a great website ;D
As an older user, with some time - finally! - I'd love to write something on motivation, the job application process, advice people need... actually, anything that needs an author between high school and/or uni that has a gap at the moment.
Also... 500 posts, if I'm right.
Do you have any ideas on what you'd like to write about? :)I really love Chemistry and Physics, but I'd be happy to write about Maths also if you want. Chem and Physics would be good though. I know that at my school I spend a lot of time teaching my classmates to use the CAS calculator, so I could also do that. I really don't mind much what subject of those above it is, I enjoy them all! 8)
I'll be in touch with you members of the NSW fam via PM soon! ;DHey Jamon,
Hey Jamon,
I never got a PM and was wondering if you guys have forgotten or have just been really busy (which is understandable due to the lectures-which were great!). I wan't to add that although i said that I could write something after HSC, I could probably help after trials (which finish on the 18th of August). I would really love to give back to this community which has already helped me so much.
Thanks heaps :)
PM sent. :)I've sent you a PM =)
Hey to all NSW ATAR Notes users!! ;D
I'll be contacting all the HSC users who are interested in writing for us at the start of next week (hopefully Trials will be over for most of you by then) ;D
We've had a heap of awesome contributions from NSW students the last few months, especially since the lectures. To all of you who have already been such a passionate, helpful presence in the community, PLEASE consider getting involved. You don't have to be a genius in your subject. You might have come up with a really cool way to study that you want to tell people about, you might want to write a guide to help Year 11's deal with stress in Year 12. You might have stuffed up an exam and want to share that experience and what it taught you. Any way you want to contribute, we want to hear about it and work with you to make it happen.
Take a look at the original post in this thread for more details, give a shout below if you are keen, and I will message everyone from NSW who is interested (either below or from earlier in the thread) early next week! Get excited ;D
Don't let me single out NSW either, let this be a fresh call for Victorian users to get involved too ;)
Yeah I can write something up on studying for art, even though going off my own class no one gives a shit about studying for it haha
Don't know if it's too late but I would also love to join :)
If it isn't too late, I would be interested in this opportunity as well.

I think you would be able to publish some high-quality and interesting content. I'm sure your wisdom in both the Further Maths & university areas would come in handy for articles.
I'll be interstate next week, but will be following up all of these awesome offers after that. ;DStill waiting on PM, however, will be unavailable until after the university exam period to write one.

Fuaaarrkkk so sorry - wouldn't be surprised if I'd missed multiple posters in this thread. All good, just wanted to let you know. :)
PMing now. :)
All good, just wanted to let you know. :)
Oooh I would so love to join too! Especially to make some good geo content cause there's not much out there, and to prove we are SO much more than "2unit colouring in"Another person that gets Geography is more then colouring in . I can't speak for the HSC, but for VCE, the new study design is a lot more relevant and interesting then the previous one I studied in.

I really don't understand why not many others feel the same
Hi Joseph41, I still haven't gotten your PM :)

Hey! I am more than happy to help out on the PDHPE HSC forums if you need :)
I would love to write an article on any of the maths or science subjects. I spend a lot of time teaching people how to prepare for exams anyways. Also, a whole article on how to get organised and remain organised the entire year will probably be really helpful for next year's year 12's.
And I'm sure Joseph41 will be in touch with you asap!
Friends, we're going to have a whole range of new articles written by forum members pretty soon. :D :D :D Very exciting!
Looking forward to these! Would love to write an article for either Literature or German after exams :D
What about Textiles & Design or Food Tech?
I do both subjects and I am ranking 1st in Textiles and 3rd in Food Tech.
If I can help with these topics, let me know. :)
I'm late to the party but I'd be super happy to write for any of my subjects (subjects are in my signature) but especially English and Art as I came first in those, as well as general motivational stuff 😊
Also late to the party, but interested! Achieved a 50 in Aus History last year :)
Would Love to write a guide on how to deal with the different sections of Texts and traditions. But after the 16th of November, I'm kinda busy with exam rn.
Also late to the party, but interested! Achieved a 50 in Aus History last year :)
I'm also interested :P
I didn't get anything too flashy but happy to give advice (got pretty good consistent scores across my subjects). Happy to talk about VCE / Uni stuff (gotten pretty good marks for my Uni subjects so far), so let me know if you want me to write anything! :)
I'd be keen to write something on Literature if desired :)
I'd be happy to write something regarding further mathematics if you need someone :)
Check your inbox. ;)I'm not the strongest in any particular subject. But i have passion. And i would love to be able to help wherever i could!!

Just finished psych and further 3/4 in year 11 with raw scores of 45 and 38 respectively and I would love to write articles for the site ;D
I would love to write an article on success in VCE English. I achieved a 47 raw score this year.
I always tell my friends I enjoyed busman so much I wish I could repeat it. This sounds like the next best thing. Sign me up! ;D
I'm going into year 9. :'(
Hey!
Is it too late to sign up? I'd love to write about anything student-related!
Just wanted to share two guides written by some awesome forum contributors that have now been published in our Articles section!
- This guide on preparing for a music performance, written by katie, rinos
- This guide on creating study notes, written by owidjaja
And there will be more on the way! ;D
I'd be interested in this.
Would an article about managing 1/2's in Year 10 be wanted?
Super interested in this - how do I sign up?
Hey
I’d love to contribute :D
I'm keen, let me know how
I'm in year 11 right now, I'd love to write for ATAR Notes and hopefully be able to join the team :D
Please tell me what I can do to help :D
Possibly an article about how year 10's and lower can prepare for VCE (This has more thank likely been done, although if not it'd be a great article to write about!)
Cool! Are you keen to pen this yourself? :)Yes. After my exams after over (which is Thursday :)).
Yes. After my exams after over (which is Thursday :)).
I'm in, again. :P
Gotta say the first article I wrote was sooooo much fun lol
I'd love to write for ATAR notes!! :D would an article on achieving success in Global Politics be wanted? or, I did see something about articles on specific aspects of uni being requested - I could do something for that!
Sign me up! :) I'd love to write an article on how to do well for LOTE oral exams if there hasn't been one already (97/100 oral score).
What kinds of things are we allowed to write about (like sacs, vce in general, study tips etc)?
Please see OP. :)what's op?
what's op?
Had anyone done a legal one?
We've had a few dotted around but we're always looking for more! For which state are you thinking? Either Nick or myself can PM you if you were interested in writing something :)
Sorry! I don't want to write one.. I just want to read others if they have written them! There's a list of all the articles here :)
Thanks! :D
Hey, i'd love to write an article on tips for doing well in further maths if that's possible? I'm kinda busy with sacs at the moment, but i'd be able to write it over some time.
hey
I would love to write an article
I'm only in year 11 though and think it would be a great opportunity
I also receive weekly subscriptions so I always love to read the articles . . . ;D
What could I write about?
What about transition from year 10 pre methods to year 11 methods . . . .
Hi! I'm Tommy Chen and I'm currently in y11 but I've studied ahead of the content at school. I'm very interested in writing articles for Chemistry 1/2, and soon for chemistry 3/4, but not yet. I love chemistry and I would love to help people out with questions they are struggling at. I don't have much time right now, but I can always spare some time to write articles for others when I do not have SACs!
I would really like to be part of the community, as spread knowledge is something that is great!
Thanks
Tommy
Still a fresh poster, but would love to contribute to the ATAR Notes community and help out other VCE students! ;D

I mean... I'm way too new to do it. Sure would like writing for ATAR notes though :'(
Well I could help random ppl with VSSE, but I don't think that's what ur looking 4
I would really like to write an article. I have had a lot of experience with alternative schooling, so I think doing an article on doing a subject or subjects through DECV (VSV) would be really awesome for other students. There isn't a lot out there on it so I think it could be something to write about.
I'm a little busy at the moment but June is a decently freer month.
I can write an article or two on doing well in food studies and psych (both 3/4) ;D
Not now, but in the near future.
Count me in!
Omg I would love to write something for ATARNotes ! Some ideas could be about learning languages, doing an accelerated subject, studying legal studies or some of my ambiguous study tips that I've picked up during my years of schooling :D
lol haven't even started on my article . . . have had a shitload of sacs and exams r a week away so hoping to get somethin out after exams, :P
Is anyone interested in a VCE Chinese Second Language guide for non-background speakers? I will write a guide after November 20th (which is when I've finished the written exam so its as raw as possible).
I'm sure this would help a lot of people! :) Feel free to get in touch after your exam.
Okey dokey call me out if I don't :)
Would love to write an article! How do I get involved?
Bump! :) If you're keen to get involved, simply fill out this expression of interest form.
I would love to do this, do you have to have finished Year 12 though?
No, there is no requirement to have finished year 12 (hence why "Still in high school" is an option on the form) :)
Bump! :) If you're keen to get involved, simply fill out this expression of interest form.

As always, if you're keen to contribute more to ATAR Notes and be published on the website, we'd love to hear from you. :) Please feel free to complete the form in the quoted post, or you can get in touch with Bri MT or me on the forums if that's easier for you. 🤙
Hi Bri and Joesph,
I would love to be able to contribute to the QCE community by writing an article. Do you guys think that's possible? And also, how does the article writing process work? Do I get sent a prompt or would I write about anything I want?
Thank you and kind regards,
Darcy Dillon.
