Title: Quick Clarifications Please!
Post by: jashaan on June 16, 2019, 09:41:32 pm
Hi!

I just had a few clarifications required in regards to power transmission and transformers. If someone could answer them, I will be very very grateful!! :)

1. Ohm's Law:
Vloss= I * R, however to find V, I have seen I=V/R. But isn't that from the Vloss equation??

2. Power dissipated/power lost:
Are these two things the same? Because when I see questions saying 'calculate power dissipated in globe', I assume it is Ploss=I^2 * R, however the formula used is P=V^2/R, which doesn't stand for power loss??

Thank you!!
