p<0.05 and p>0.05

p<0.05  --> changes to the DV is 5% due to chance only, and 95% due to the IV

p>0.05 --> changes to the DV is 95% due to chance only and 5% due to IV

am I correct? Thanks in advanced !

p>0.05 --> Probability that the change to the DV was due to chance was more than 5%
