When it comes to taking notes in my bio 3/4 class, i'm not too sure whether if taking notes by laptop or exercise book is better. I feel like typing on a laptop is so much easier and more efficient than writing it out however I've been led to believe that 'scientifically', writing notes into your book allows you to retain content much more effectively than simply typing it up.
Has anyone tried both of these methods? And which one worked better for you?
Honestly, whatever works best for you.
I think that being able to add info, however, is so important. So, if you choose to use an exercise book, I would NOT write on the backs of pages so that if I had to add something I could add it in that space. However, typing is faster. So, perhaps try handwriting your notes for the first topic and see if it helps you to retain the information. If it doesn't, you might as well type it.
