what score for exam 2 would you likely to get if u did all the "method marks" and got most qstns; but didnt get the 'correct' answer for 5-7 qstns; i.e. wrote 14.5 instead of 14.7 ???
e: 16 year old against them: 17-18 year olds

NO EXAMS left this year

See how they say:
Exam 1=  22%
Exam 2=  44%
SACS   =  34%

How do these results come out to be a total.Do they just add 160, 80 and 100?
oping for an ENTER of 99+

separately.
for each result, VCAA calculates your standardized score.
i.e. just say you scored 22/40 for exam 1, and the median was like 21, your z-score (standardized score) will be just above zero. (we learnt this in methods). just assume your z score for exam 1 was 0.0112845
and then with the z-score they multiple it with the % it is worth
so 0.0132845 X 22%
(called weighting X standardised score)
They do that for all the components of the study score.
Add it up altogether to give your weighted total.
and just say you end up with something like 1.051251... is equivalent to a 36 study score. get me?

if FSN found it hard. i think the whole state found it difficult. i reckon mid-high 60s for an A+ for exam 2 methods.

Chemistry Unit 3 certainly wasn't like that though...

Haha. Hmm... I wonder if FSN actually is the upper end. It certainly seems like it's going to be ENTER > 70, or something, but a group like ENTER > 90 (MHS, for example) would be much better at evaluating A+ cut-offs.

yeah mhs kids did find it on the tougher side...like the mid range kids im talking about. As fort eh upper ranges, they would have lost about 2-3, i knwo our methods prize winner (i.e best mark in sacs all year) dropped at least 2. So u can guage for yourself.

so its fair to say that you can afford to drop about 2 marks on exam 2 and 1 mark on exam 1 to get a study score of 48+ then rite?

no idea, but all im saying is that some mhs kids found it hard as well (i.e induced stupid errors). However, while mhs is above average as a cohort, u have freaks from everywhere. Like u can have peoplpe who will get 50 no matter what hardness from non-mhs schools. so while its an indicator, its not definative.
