That was a lot easier than I thought it would be! Anyone else think it was easier than last year's? It certainly felt that way for me :)

And OMG, no graph sketching questions! The was the one thing I was worried about... I suck at drawing graphs :P

I thought it was OK. Harder than last years and much harder than the 2006 sample exam IMO. I hated that binomial probability question. Thats always been a calculator question for me

exam was easy for me...just that i read Pr(x>2) as pr(x>=2) for one question...so  i would lose 1 there...

I thought it was VERY hard. As if no graphs? What was VCAA thinking? Also, that probability question was just terrible.

the probability questions were hard. LOL lost about 3 marks on them  :?

how did people go about drawing the derivative graph for question 3? Open-circles for all end-points?
I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER!!

Oya, for the derivative graph, did everyone draw a straight line with a -ve gradient, cutting x=-3 for the 1st section of the graph?

ok gd.. but how do u actually tell whether it's a quadratic or say a cubic? their curvy part looks pretty much the same.. but the derivative graph would look differently

i immediately interpreted it as a quadratic...LOL how the hell could u think that was a cubic? there were no pts of inflexion or  anything else..
derivative of a quadratic eqn is always a straight line...

O oops my bad i mean a quartic.. >< say (x+3)^4, but i guess it would look rather different -.-

Well, hopefully I did enough to get over 50%.
