Tbh I reckon courtesy ones are easier. You use less things than in that flow chart.

I only use six. For women/girls, I would just use 奶奶,阿姨,姐姐. For men/boys, 爷爷,叔叔,哥哥.
And when in doubt with the age factor, pick the younger of the two valid alternatives. Like there's someone I know that I really could call 奶奶 but I just pick 阿姨 anyway
I use most of those words, but it gets iffy and tricky to track.

For me, I have words like first cousin, 2nd cousin, 3rd cousin etc

and sometimes if people pass away,  cousins are sort  of "replaced" by the next closest family member etc (or grandson)...

Oh yeah. My family doesn't use that system (I think...) but that just makes things EVEN MORE worse

Dermochelys coriacea (aka the leatherback sea turtle) is the only testudine (turtle or tortoise (or terrapin if you're American)) that doesn't have scutes (those shapes on the shell). Instead, D. Coriacea has spiny ridges that run down its carapace (shell). This is suspected to be related to its increased dive depth, swim speed etc. in comparison to other sea turtles.

Also their brains are very ATP efficient which is suspected to aid their dive duration.

Question No. 1: Are you a turtle, or a tortoise?? ;P

I've always identified more with turtles. For a long time when I was younger Chelonia Mydas (green sea turtle) was my favourite but then I started leaning more towards D. Coriacea. Honourable mention also to Chelodina Longicollis (eastern long neck turtle) for being the long time favourite inland turtle. One sign of my blatant favouritism is that I don't know the scientific names of any tortoises (shocking, I know).
(You may have been referring to CB but you get this text block anyway :P)

Here's your bonus facts:
-an ancient predecessor of modern tortoises was very, very similar in many respects EXCEPT that it had teeth rather than crushing plates in its mouth. (Modern testudines may have an egg tooth but that's it)

-in an controlled experiment eggs of the Murray Darling river turtle were monitored and it was found that the embryos were changing the rate of their own development in order to synchronise with each other. So two cool things from that:1. They can control their own rate of development  2. They were somehow (the researcher speculated it might have been odour based) communicating with eachother before even hatching

Random Christmas Fact: You’re most likely familiar with the image of Santa being a bearded, jolly, rather plump elderly man in a red and white suit with a matching cap. It was actually the Coca-Cola Company that is partially responsible for how he looks through advertisements that started back in the 1920s.

Dinosaurs are more related to(awkward phrasing) chickens than they are to crocodiles.
