Seems like a few people are making one so may as well jump on the bandwagon! Couldn't think of a creative title haha

Just finished CSSA trials week 3-4 but now the 3rd set of trials are upcoming in week 7-8 agh no breaks!  :-X but CSSA went better than expected!

I feel prepared for maths for the 3rd trial. English still need to edit AOS essay and creative and need to memorise more content for bio and phys, hopefully no cramming this time  ;D

Atar goal - 99.5+
Course goal - software engineering or computer science or actuarial or medicine (if I did good in UMAT)

HSC is fast approaching! After this last set of trials it'll be 4 weeks till the big ones start  ::) Still need to fill out UAC etc and also need to do co-op and other scholarship applications which will take ages but will do after trials!!

It's really tiring like there's no breaks! But after thinking about it we get more english feedback which always helps :D

Yeah it's great! Gotta keep cramming for sciences though since I forget some memorisation between the exams but it's still alright :O
How many past papers do you think would be good between week 9 and HSC?

From the time I started studying for the HSC to the finish, I probably did about 50 2U/3U papers combined (really stupid thing to do, I could have done better if I hadn't over-invested here. I was gunning for a 2U state rank, wasn't to be ;)), and half a dozen of every other exam I was going to sit. So that's what, maybe a bit shy of a hundred past papers? Which sounds like a lot, but I was doing roughly 3 per day for about a month, so that seems about right :)

So around like 6 or so for physics and stuff? How'd you do so well without many past papers?

I did get a Band 6 in Physics but it was a low one, and it was my lowest mark at 92 - If I'd done more I'd probably have done better! Though I also attribute that to Physics being my last exam, and at that point I was just so done. I was spent and definitely didn't feel super energised in the room like I had for others (I had a double the day before too, so ruthless combo ;))

Speaking objectively, 6 papers is nearly 20 hours of practice for a single subject, that is a lot! Could I have done more, yeah, should I have? Probably, given how much I spent on Math. But 20 hours is definitely a heap of time to spend solely on hardcore revising for a HSC course that you've spent the last 12 months going over in the first instance. Also, like, 20 hours times 7 subjects is 140 hours, if you start studying a month before your HSC that is 5 hours a day - I'd say 20 hours would be a good baseline target actually ;D

24th August

Had physics today it felt like such a long period (our periods are 1 hr 40). Our teacher is old school so we copy from the board and he roasts heaps during every lesson, it's pretty funny since he's like "If you think I'm picking on you, you're dead right".

Period 2 was really funny we had a room change for study and there was this really loud class next door so we kept passing papers under the wall telling them to be quiet and they kept trying to roast us saying we did non atar and stuff because my friend spelt school as scholl by accident :D Then we gave the year 10s (not sure if it was 10) a 4 unit question and they somehow solved it??? It could've been their maths teacher but it wasn't his handwriting so I've got no clue how they solved it...

Period 2 and 3 were just study so finished HSC 2007 almost except multiple choice and a bit of Q2Q which was nice to get in some physics study.

Now at home gotta do english because I put it off at school :D

Thanks! I find memorising quotes easier because I can use acronyms, but if anyone has a good technique for memorising the creative order then feel free to share! :)

RIP paper 1

Short answers were like all about curiosity, excitement and wonder then they put the 5 marker as challenging assumptions WTF none of the texts were challenging any assumptions... Didn't know what half the texts were about...

Creative was ok it was curiosity and wonder which I think I included but it said use a stimulus as a central element (quote or image) so I was unsure and added the quote in just in case. FORGOT THE TITLE which sucks I always write that first and my teachers get triggered if you don't have one rip...

For the essay it was curiosity and wonder which was alright for the prescribed but my related had noooo curiosity or wonder so I wrote this essay poorly.

That's the hard paper out of the way at least... No shifties in paper 2
