                     --私 の こと質問--

Q: いつ日本語を始める勉強しましたか.

A: 今年は自分で日本語を勉強始めました

Q: なぜ日本語 を勉強したいですか.

A: 面白くて楽しいですね

今,時間がない - 晩御飯を食べたい.じゃまた!

Hey there, always nice to see a new journal popping up (although I would recommend to translate it into English so other people can read it)
But wow, self-studying Japanese from this year?! That's amazing
I also started it this year but I do it at school and with a tutor
Are you planning on taking it for VCE?
That's still amazing, keep it up; I'm looking forward to this VCE journal!

It’s been quite a while (read: a few years) since I did Japanese so I won’t really correct it much (and I may be wrong, so...).

For someone who’s only started learning Japanese by themselves this year, you’re doing really well!

Some feedback:
- I think you meant 「勉強し始めます」(see link)
- the ね doesn’t need to be there. ね at the end of the sentence generally means “isn’t it?” and is usually used emphatically in speech rather than written.
- じゃあまた is the correct term.

Hope that helps.

I think you’ll find that they did translate it into English underneath.

Apologies for the terrible and simple grammar as well - as I’ve said, it’s been a while since I’ve used Japanese, let alone have a Japanese class. I’ll translate what I said as well for those reading.

What I said:
“Actually, I graduated university last year.* Three years ago, I studied Japanese. I think I already forgot (my) Japanese.”

* Technically, I finished uni last year and had the graduation ceremony this year.

Side note: Just wanted to let you know that you can reply to several people in a single post, so that we can keep the forum a little less cluttered. :)

 元気 ですか.
僕 は 6時に起きて朝ごはんを食べて ピアノを 練習した. Aghh,  私の人生 はつまらない...

今日, 数学のテストがあるから, 本当に緊張 して いる,
実はあまり準備 しない. 何が言える...

日本語は難しいになると 思うので,今はちょっと ストレスがあります.

Anyone feel free to correct my Japanese.

Translation:
How is everyone?
I got up at 6 am, ate breakfast and practiced piano. My life is boring.
I feel quite nervous because I have a math test today. What can I say though?
I feel a bit stressed because Japanese is becoming difficult.

You're doing so well! I am absolutely amazed how good it is despite teaching yourself. In every language, the more you progress, the harder it will get so it's completely understandable. Don't stress yourself!

9年生ですか! 日本語がとてもお上手ですね。
こうやって、毎日日本語の勉強をしていたら、
さらに上手くなれますよ。
Translation
You're in Year 9! Your Japanese is very good.
If you keep studying Japanese every day like this, you can become even better.
趣味(しゅみ)はなんですか。
友だち と よく あそびますか。友だちはどんな人ですか。
Translation
What are your hobbies?
Do you hang out with your friends much? What kind of people are your friends?
ちょっとだけ添削します!
実はあまり準備していない. 何が言える...→しかたない

日本語は難しなると 思うので,今はちょっと ストレスがあります.
• We use the continuous form verbている to express states that can continue to be true. 準備しない would indicate "I wont/will not prepare", while 準備していない "I have not/am not prepared".
• Sometimes idiomatic phrases do not translate across languages and cultures! If you think about how "what can I say..." really means that you are reflectively disappointed, you can find a word in Japanese to fit that nuanced meaning. しかたない literally means "there is nothing I can do".
• When you use verbs like する and なる in conjunction with adjectives, adjectives ending in an い sound (難しい、新しい、嬉しい) change by dropping the final い and adding a く, which changes then from adjectives to adverbs (which is why you can use them with verbs).
• Ironically, Japanese people don't talk about stress as casually as we do. Saying "I'm stressed" doesn't necessarily carry the same meaning as ストレス. You could use もやもやしています (I have I'll feelings about...), 不安です (I am uneasy about...). If you want to use ストレス, maybe ちょっとストレスを感じています sounds natural!
• in general, becoming more comfortable with polite (です ます) registers will be helpful during VCE!

次のエントリーを楽しみにしています。
頑張ってください!

Wow, that's so interesting! Your Japanese never fails to surprise me every time! I never knew about the stress part before
I think I should research a bit of their culture before starting 1/2 next year
