Quick question: are you my brother? I don't listen to rap, but I know all the lyrics because he plays it in his car constantly haha If anyone is curious about what a Blink-182 song sung in the style of Johnny Cash mixed with In Flames would sound like, then it's your lucky day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sViblh4p_bs
'Come together' -Aerosmith is hands down better than than the Beatles orignal
'Here Comes the Sun' -Sebastian and Belle (originally done by the Beatles, I think)
'Knocking on Heaven's Door' - Various artists have done this and I can't chose which one I like the most (don't ask me who did the original haha) ;D
"You think" jesus bejesus. Here comes the sun is a classic. One of the few Beatles songs done by George Harrison. The cover isn't bad though. Surprising that it's actually in the same style as the original.

I'm in love with this cover :D : https://youtu.be/P4oSRlQqjf8?t=1m5s It's basically a sing off between The Vamps and Conor Maynard to the background music of Shape of You. They do a bunch of different covers.

I have a bit of an eclectic mix here :D
Must say I enjoy a bit of Smooth Criminal by Alien Ant Farm. Great cover. I also prefer Aron Wright's cover of Everybody Wants to Rule the World to the original (by Tears for Fears). Any cover Bastille do is generally awesome, and a lot of the stuff Peter Hollens does is top notch, too.
Not an official cover, but my high school had a house music competition each year, and one of the houses last year did the most amazing cover of Sunday Morning by Maroon 5 - wayyyyyy better than the original. Unfortunately, don't have it on video, so just have my memories to go by :(

It wouldn't be a covers thread without mentioning the Piano Guys. Just don't make me single a single fave out any of the covers they've done! ;D

You might like Pellek. Obligatory 'I am a hipster and listened to him in his power metal band before he got big doing covers' claim :P
Sometimes he overdoes it with the falsetto, and honestly, he can't put too much emotion in his voice at times. I personally like when his accent shines through though. Definitely got some raw talent though. This is a nice example.

This is an instrumental cover of a prog-metal song called Harvest by a celloist I listen to called Raphael Weinroth-Browne. It's perfect music for listening to in the background while doing other things. Highly recommend for any cello fans.

I'm going to have to put two in here, but the first:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wC5EaOcgx90 --> Death Cab for Cuties cover of 'This Charming Man' by the Smiths. This is from the album that is full over covers, appropriately called 'You Can Play These Songs With Chords'. It was this album that actually got me into Death Cab, so eternally grateful. Two of my favourite bands in one song.
Second:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGmQXuySF28 --> Herb alpert & the tijuana brass covering 'A Taste of Honey' by the Beatles. Don't know how on earth I found this, but it somehow made it its way onto my car playlist on spotify. It came on the other day for the first time, and I like it because it largely removes the creepy elements of the original version. I mean, for that reason, I guess it changes the song in its entirety, but nonetheless, v groovy.

This is a cover of Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles, done by called Ghost B.C. The original sounds so happy, but the cover sounds so ominious. It's very well done.

HOW DID I NOT KNOW THERE WAS A COVER THREAD UNTIL NOW. D: I legit get told off by my friends for listening to too many covers...
I'm allowed to double post because I post good music
Not bad, but haven't heard the original for a frame of reference. 😂 I do enjoy a lot of Like a Version, though.

Okay, so one at a time - this is a cover of Still Into You by Paramore. The original I feel gets into a rush of fun and good times, which is cool, but this one replaces all the drums and guitar with a violin and melodic harmonies. The overall experience is a lot sweeter and low-key, which I absolutely adore - it makes me love it more than the original.
