I'm pretty sure it's dilation of factor 1/2 from y-axis (changing x-values) and dilation of factor 3 from x-axis (changing y values)

You appear to be correct... transformations is my biggest downfall. I'd have a better chance of solving the Riemann Hypothesis that getting this shit.

Since everyone was asking for solutions.
BUT i couldnt obtain the solutions.

This is what i got as the answers:

1. m>8/5
2. N member of R/+-Root2/9         P member of R
3. (2^3X11)/3^11
4.a) Hybrid function
b) loge(2/3)
c) Forgot >.>
5. (kpi)/2 +- pi/6    k member of Z
6.  a)Do on calculator
b) x = 1
7a) Dilation of a factor of 1/2 in the y axis. Dilation of a factor of 3 in the x axis. Reflection in the y axis. Translation of 3 right in the x axis
b) m(-2x+6)^3/2 -3
8. _____
9.a) b)Check on calculator
10) 6cm^2/second
11a) Something really long :|
b) It is the distance traveled between 0 and 2 seconds
c) Find the average value of velocity between 0 and 2

how did you get q 10, just looking at it seems weird because pr of non defective is a 1/3 so it should be 3^10 at the bottom?? maybe im wrong..

Why do you have some answers as "do on calculator" when it's an exam 1?

Don't stress, these questions are considered the harder ones and there will be only a few on the actual VCAA exam!

Well exam 1 is over guys LOL
But the do on calculator is that you can check your answer easily on calculator.

+ for the related rates one you can either do it as 2 separate chain rules or one chain rule like

dy/dx = dy/dt X dt/dv X dv/dx

So everything cancels out! Something like this can be on exam 2 :)
