Did a rough plan of my timetable already.

5 days a week, mostly 9am-5:15pm. Doesn't help living so far away either...

AND most of my lectures etc are back to back so more fun times for me.

Thanks for that, i'm just confused about one thing. i need to attend weekly classes for my lectures and tutorials but for pracs its only " 6 x three hours of practical activities during semester".

But looking at the timetable, pracs run every week with 8 repeats a week. So do i just pick one of these classes, attend for 6 weeks and just stop going to them after that?

No it's more ordered than that. You pick a time and then you will be allocated a prac group. Your particular group will have their prac on a particular set of weeks, going through the pracs in a particular order.

Do you need to have attended the lectures beforehand to know what is going on in the practicals/tutorials?? :S

Timetabling starts on 30th January and this is the thread to discuss timetables!
Anyways here are a few tips I got from tram to get you started:
my general advice about timtabling:

1) Put your tutes early in the week. You cover last week's materiel in tutorials and it's better to get one topic out of the way before getting too into new material otherwise you're trying to learn lots of stuff constantly.

2) Don't cram all your subs together, spread them out during the day, this means you are at uni for longe each day. This is what you want, you want breaks in between classes to hang with new people you met in the previous tute/lecture, and time to chill and catch up with old friends. Also if you can get an hour free before each tut-always handy to catch up on any tute work you were meant to do during the week. Also free time gives you time to go to consults.

3) Make sure you make sure you have time to get form class to class-the uni campus is quite big and running across it is not fun early in the morning with a bag, look at a map of the uni when doing your timetable
Obviously I followed none of these tips but here's what my timetable will probably look like:

So how is everyone going about their timetabling adventures?

Are you sure 4 hour straight classes with no break is a good idea?? like your monday/thursday

Yea it's fine. If I ceebs I cant just skip the maths lecture on monday and the maths+economics lecture on thursday or join some random economics lecture later on in the day. Plus the 10 minutes between subjects should be fine

I think that depends on the lecturer/tutor and if they think it's rude or not. I think drinks are usually ok though.

In lectures its fine. In tutes ask your tutor because its a bit rude if you're just eating whilst they work. In pracs its 100% not okay, prac rooms aren't for eating in
