Even if someone gets straight As in Yrs 7-10, it doesn't mean their perfect and let's be real here, no one is.Haha, yeah, I guess I did sort of convey that marks were the be all and end all. I don't associate grades with any form of self-worth, but rather with how much effort I put in throughout the semester. Achieving that would mean that I've done the best that I can do; I'd be more proud of that fact than the letter grade.
Make the use of the next 7 or so months to experiment with nearly everything you can to see what works the best.I'll be sure to :). Thanks for the encouraging words!
When you practice piano what do you mostly focus on?
Out of curiosity, do you mind sharing what was confusing you in geo? It's always interesting to see what's more/less familiar to different people
Seems like you're generally pretty good at getting 8 hours and it's more the timing that you struggle with. I'm not sure if you've already got a particular strategy you use, but I find it useful to use an automatic blue light filter (reminds me it's getting to night time as well as reducing the production of stay-awake-chemicals) and try shifts of roughly half an hour at a time.
Good luck with your goals! :)
Thanks for taking an interest :). The most recent work I've been set was to transpose a C Major chord progression to G Major, practice some scales (Only three so far) and practising some songs with correct phrasing & dynamics. The most difficult thing I've encountered is reading the music rather than playing it.
With Geo, I just needed to clear some things up about the process of subduction and island arc formation. I mean, I knew what happened, but had trouble understanding why.
I actually use a blue light filter! The effects of it aren't really that noticeable, but they're there, so that'd be helping.
Thanks for the advice (and reminding me that I need to practise piano).
I've read that book. If you like romance books then I think you'll like it.
Do some reading 8) - I'm not really much of a recreational reader at the moment, so I looked at some reviews/recommendations and thought that Tomorrow, When the War Began would be a good place to start. Getting through some of that now.
Yikes. Well, it's one in a series, so I'll just let my naive little brain think that there could be one.SpoilerBe warned: it doesn't have a happy ending.
Help out around the house more often Gave Ned a run in the backyard with the tennis ball.
04/08, Day 17I've gotI had tomorrow all planned out andI'mI was going to have a super productive day. Hellyeahnaw.
09/08, Day 22What's it like waking up that early? I don't think I'd ever have the ability to willingly wake up that early. Snoozing is just too tempting ;D
Get at least 8 hours of sleep - 8:50PM-4:50AM. Needed to wake up to finish my maths report.
What's it like waking up that early? I don't think I'd ever have the ability to willingly wake up that early. Snoozing is just too tempting ;DEven though I get 8 hours either way when waking up that early, it still takes a splash of cold water and a shower to be able to function. It's nice and quiet, though. Early mornings I feel like the hours ahead are specifically designated to doing work, because there really isn't much else to do when nobody's awake.
How've you been going with this? This week was just busy and I couldn't get around to updating this, let alone completing the goals I've set. Doing some recreational reading or practicing the piano really doesn't appeal to me when I have impending due dates and exams I need to study for. I need to learn to prioritise more, so I'll be picking this back up on Monday with daily to-do lists as opposed to a routine which can be rather restrictive in some cases.
So I've switched from routines to to-do lists. Hopefully this'll allow me to prioritise more pressing tasks.

How do you find writing rationales? I'm pretty sure this year's graduating class used the introduction-style of writing reports instead so I'm curious about if you have any thoughts on that transition.I'd love to be able to comment, but I'm not apart of this year's graduating class 👶🏼, making it difficult to form an opinion. I haven't really noticed any change in structure when writing a report, but that's just my Year 8 ignorance :P One day, though, there will be a time when I can understand a word of what anyone says on this forum.

How's my favourite werewolf? ??? ;D Have you been keeping up with the piano practice and dog walking?(grr ;))
I'm finally on holidays, though, and I've been reading To Kill a Mockingbird, which has been fun.Are you reading it for school or for fun? ;D
When I get back, a chore roster will be implemented so that there'll be no more (or, at least, a lot less) chore dodging. That should be helpful, or restricting. What do you think?
I'm working on my speech for head prefect in case my application gets shortlisted and I'll be working on a group project for the stem cup competition, as well, but other than that, I'll just be relaxing these holidays. Once they end, I'll make an effort to hand in my schoolwork earlier. That's so exciting! When do you find out if you're shortlisted?
