Engineering at RMIT or Melbourne or Monash?

so, i'm having a lot of issues with deciding where i want to do engineering. there's little time left and I've researched the unis but I still feel like i don't have enough information to pick.
it's more about how i should rank my preferences.

for melb uni, i felt like doing a bachelor of science first would help me decide whether i actually wanted to do engineering, but the thought of getting a job at a lab and the 2 year contract for that is, personally, very horrifying. the main reason i want to do engineering is for the practical side of things and i want that practical aspect to be reflected in my degree. but i haven't let go of uni of melb yet.
as for the type of engineering, i am interested in mechanical/automotive/anything practical really
also, i live really far from monash uni but i don't mind travelling.

so, here are the things i want to know/the things i want from my degree, that could possibly help me better understand the course at each uni:
- a more practical degree
- internship/experience in the real world
- rank of uni, and if it matters in terms of jobs
- employment rate
- course map

Note: I’m not great with engineering but I’ve given it a shot below.

In terms of this:
- a more practical degree
- internship/experience in the real world
Generally I would be looking for something like work-integrated learning or an internship/ placement unit, which you can often find as compulsory units at RMIT or Swinburne. Engineering in itself is an accredited course, so anywhere you go you will do the same basics.

- rank of uni, and if it matters in terms of jobs
I don’t know too much about Engineering, but in general, some places will care about uni ranks and some won’t.

- employment rate
I would have a look at the QILT survey (link here). It also has graduate satisfaction and a few other stats you may be interested in. However, be wary and have a look at how it’s calculated, because it might not be quite what you’re after.

- course map
These are generally things you’ll need to research and often a simple Google search will get you part of the way there. Your circumstances, such as whether you took Spesh and/or Physics, will change your course map.
- UoM Masters Eng Info - includes some units you will need to take - you will still need to do a Bachelors first, but since there's a number of options, I won't link the Bachelors in.
- Monash BEng (Hons) course map
- RMIT BEng (Hons) - info + 1st year plan (2nd onwards require you to know what specialisation you want)
- Swinburne BEng (Hons) info and units

I will add some links later when I have more time.
EDIT: Links added.
