Uni timetable practicals!

Is it completely horrible to have 2 practicals in a row? Essentially 7 hrs without a break because I have a lecture lined up there as well.
If so, I would manage to have a day off which is extremely tempting, but not sure if I want to put myself through that torture xD

This has been answered in a previous question already, but in response to:

It's not ideal - it's not like school where you can sit through hours and hours. It is mentally draining. Some disciplines are worse than others.

I would highly recommend at least a 1 hour break in between, so you can have lunch or just to chill or something. It might not seem like a big deal now, but it takes its toll after a while.

However - it is possible and I have done it myself on more than one occasion. It's about getting the right *amount* of time for a break. I personally feel that an hour break is sufficient, and then 2+ hours is starting to push it (you run out of things to do!). I like to get things out of the way and not have to wait (my personal preference - everyone is different).

It's really not that bad, especially if they're 3 hour pracs. I've done it before and i would rather it back to back than have to come into uni for one more extra day (4 hours of travel + waking up early).

Think about it like this, people work their full time jobs about 8 hours a day without going insane, including many scientists who will do the lab things you will be doing. You're an adult now, it's extremely likely you'll be able to cope just fine.

That said, as above, a break is always great. I think its definitely worth it for the day off but thats because like i said above, i lost 4 hours traveling into uni. If you live like 30 minutes away, i would say break it up over two days.
