Hey all,

I'm a little nervous as I attend a small school (40 kids in my grade) with a pretty meh cohort however I do hope to achieve a 99+ atar eeeeekk

Could anyone give me an idea of how, and to what extent my schools rank may effect my atar? And what, if anything, I should do about it?

Hey there!
Wow a 99+ atar is (of course) super hard to get.
A small school without much prestige can make it hard to get a super high atar as there are not as many people to drag your mark up if you slip up a little (not saying that you will).
All you can do is aim for rank 1 and aim for the best marks. Check your schools previous highest atar achievers to get an estimate of how your school does. Remeber, it is not impossible to get a 99+ atar.

Goodluck!
