Hey AN,

I know the respective ranking of your sac marks are used to rank you within your cohort, but are the sac marks used to calculate the ranking scaled or unscaled.

When i say scaled I mean, for example the highest sac mark was 45/50, does every other persons mark get bumped up by 5- say a 35 turns to 40?

Hey,
Ranking isn't affected by what the raw sac marks are, so scaling them to make rank 1 have 100% would be pointless. Rankings and exam scores are used to moderate sac marks, but this is done by vcaa not at a school level and it doesn't result in rank 1 having their sacs moderated to 100% (unless they got 100% on the exam).
There's an overview of how this works here under sac moderation & sac scaling.
