What are some topics/ideas that VCAA likes to test in the Physics exam? And what are the most common misconceptions students tend to come across?

Sorry for the late reply but VCAA will not and cannot test you on anything that is not on the study design. I am assuming you are talking about 3/4 physics as your school administers the exams in the 1/2. In general they may try pulling some fast ones like changing significant figures or giving a diagram that you need to interpret. However learning not only how to use the formulas but what the formulas along with thoroughly understanding the concepts will help you a great deal more than trying to look for areas that VCAA focuses on in one years exam or another.
