Mark allocation for long questions

I'm never sure how many points I should be making for 5-10 marks questions. (discuss, to the extent questions, do you agree)

I've been doing 4 points for 5 mark questions (points = just main points)
6 points for 6-10 mark questions
however, I realised that when I start writing 6 points for 6-10 mark questions it takes a very long time so I don't think I can do that in the exam and I'm planning on doing only 4 main points for 6-10 mark questions. And I'll try to make them as detailed as I can, do you think that's still possible to get full marks for those long mark questions if I'm doing only 4 main points?

I divide the amount of marks by 2 and then add 1 so just example a 6 mark question (6 divided by 2 = 3, then +1 = 4) I will then make four points for a 6 mark answer.
8 mark answered (8 divided by 2 = 4, then +1 = 5) 5 points for 8 mark answer.
That's what I just do

Hey man, my teacher recommends 10 distinct paragraphs for 10 markers. She reinforces the idea that we shouldn't be afraid of filling the extra writing space

Yeah, I agree with this too. Sometimes, it is good to raise as many relevant points as possible. But also take into consideration the amount time available because you obviously wouldn't want to run out of time ;)
2020: Biology [44], Hindi [46]
2021: English [50], Specialist Mathematics [45], Mathematical Methods [48], Chemistry [46]

Are the 10 paragraphs detailed or just brief? I feel like I'll run out of time if I do that many, I usually try to make my points as detailed as I can
