Are they really that accurate?

Hey soriya! :)

I don't know exactly how accurate atar calculators are, but I have used a couple of them before at the same time and they have produced a result similar to each other (around the same area of marks) :)

Also, I'm not quite sure, but I think that these calculators can be based upon previous years' scores and try to replicate the scores to your current scores, that were entered? ???

As always, these calculators are just an estimate and may or may not be what atar score you end up achieving :D

I hope this helps! :D

ATAR Calculators I would say are pretty accurate, but due to the indecisive prediction of separate study scores, it could be said to be not accurate because of this.

Yeah they are quite accurate. My atar was within the uncertainty of the prediction so quite accurate

Hey, soriya!

Their accuracy depends on the situation in which you're entering them  :) When I entered my HSC marks on the day I got them into the ATAR calculator, the data was updated so my predicted ATAR was only 0.25 off. This is probably the only time it would be that accurate though because the ATAR calculators are based on data from the previous years. While you might get a good estimate, it really just depends on how your cohort performs too. I did subjects with really shifty scaling so I got different results across the board. I'd advise not looking at it until you know what your HSC marks are because that's when you can really gauge how you did  :D Keep up the good work for now!
