Mum just realised just how dangerous it is to leave me alone in a bookstore.
She nearly had to drag me out without even a book because I spent too much time exploring new books. :')

Forgot about my tea for a good hour. It's cold now, but I can't be bothered getting up to heat it.

I once made a tea before uni and left it on the sheet music stand on the keyboard at home for 12 hours. Didn't taste too bad! Hopefully yours didn't taste too bad either! ^-^

There I was, just innocently waiting at the traffic intersection, when a peewee bird swoops at me for invading its territory  :o

I'm tracking magpie larks this semester for uni to try to see how their behaviour is being influenced by climate change (only really one week of tracking left) & if you see a nest please let me know [and if you could tell me where that would be brilliant! ].

No one in my group has seen any nests yet, but they'll probably be about 20m above the ground and made using mud

Where I grew up, we called magpie larks "mudlarks". I guess this might be why?

Strangely enough magpie larks aren't larks (or magpies).

I like your theory though!

Wait... Is that actually a mudlark's real name?

Yep :)

Ergh I typed up a whole thing on magpie larks but then my computer did something >:(

Yeah, magpie larks are also known as ‘mud-larks’ because they build their nests with mud, and are called ‘peewees’ or ‘peewits’ because of their call (‘pee-o-wee!’)
They’re a funny little bird, most noticeably because they’ve imitated the markings of a true Australian magpie, but they’re actually called larks not because that’s part of their subspecies, it’s actually due to the fact that they seem to be having a “lark” – a bit like the monotone clowns of the Aussie bird world haha (love a good ol’ ornithology joke)
there's a mud nest right here :D

Today i wanted to see what bannana bread tasted like when it was toasted

Result: Do not ever toast bananna bread. I'd rather eat a whole packet of stale biscuits and wash them down with warm milk

Conclusion: Now i see why people say some things are better left undiscovered. Bananna bread was never meant to be toasted...
