Joining A Club

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if someone could let me know whether it is possible for you to join a club without your parent's permission? Would the club send letters home or somehow alert parents as to their child's membership of the club?

I am planning on going to Monash and want to join the Vegan Society but my parents are against veganism. If I joined would they be able to find out?

Thanks. :)

I don't know of that particular club, but I don't see why this would be an issue at all. :)

You don't need your parents permission to join clubs and as far as I'm aware, most clubs don't send things to your home either. Communication is usually done through your Monash email. :)

Awesome thank you both!

No problem! Clubs are usually pretty informal. If you're still concerned about it next year, you could just mention it to whoever's in charge of the particular club; I'm sure they'd be accommodating. :)
