We are fucked...so...so fucked. We were going to be fucked either way though.

Did anyone hear Les Murray (the commentator) say "Oh God..." as Netherlands was read out for our group?

Honestly, its not as bad as the practice draw: GROUP A - Brazil, Italy, France, Australia.

Slightly better outcome than the practice draw. This way when we get fucked, at least we get a little chilli hotsauce as lube.

It's not like we would have deserved to go through, regardless of the draw. We're lucky to have made qualified, really (being in the easiest confederation to qualify from must've helped).

We didn't do *that* badly in the AFC qualifiers. Either way, even if we do win in the group stages, we have to come up against Brazil. We're going to get smashed either way.

(And holy shit, its almost 4 years already!?! I remember watching matches from the last one at a party at 6 in the fucking morning surrounded by people who were on the floor blackout drunk)

Quote from: Paulrus
they did a rehearsal draw last night to make sure everything's prepared, and australia ended up in group A with brazil, france and italy. so basically whatever happens in the real one, it surely can't be worse than that

Really??! I think you jinxed it.

The bookies disagree right now...

For what its worth i think Oranje will make it out alive, they've taken a bit of a dive lately but i still reckon they're better than Chile. I don't reckon Chile will make it out, Australia almost certainly won't either. I reckon we'll get 1D,2L.

On the upside, at least this way we have an excuse for sucking/losing.

I just feel that the atmosphere and playing conditions (south american weather) will not suit the Netherlands too well..

Ahaha true lol but I reckon they'll manage. They've done pretty well so far.

Lol at England and Italy. Oh well, at least they face the same conditions, they're in the same boat

Current odds for each stage for those interested:

Dont gamble because its bad kids but i have money on the 2nd most likely team for each group qualifying, hope i come up good.

At this stage its so far out from the actual matches that the odds aren't very useful for predicting the outcome beyond the obvious ones (Algeria wont make it out alive).

All looking good, but I would say it wld be Spain and Netherlands; and as for France, I'm reluctant to say Switzerland so I'm gonna say Ecuador haha. Algeria and aus are definitely gone tho. Don't have a chance. Hopefully tho ange will bring some good to Australia  :)

I'd been looking forward to this draw for a while (it's like a stepping stone to VCE results) and when I got up this morning and saw our group, my initial reaction was like "... Fuck." Let's hope I don't have the same reaction for my ATAR. :P
