Hey guys,

Can someone please help me solve this question?

in the form

I got sin = -1/2 but its meant to be positive.

Can someone please help me solve this question?

The expression can be converted to a single function using the compound angle formula but I don't think you're expected to know this.
I've attached some working out, please forgive its messiness. Though, I don't think this is really a question you might get on a sac or exam
Edit: Just realised its 1/2 spesh so its kind of relevant, but its not something you'll do in 3/4
