I take two trams to get home from work and today I missed my stop - no big deal, I got off a couple of stops later and walked around the corner and caught my second tram. As we went past where I normally get on the second tram there was cops and ambos and about 10 firetrucks. There’s a fire opposite St Vincent’s hospital at DELWP headquarters that’s not under control. Their building is covered in that flammable cladding from the Grenfell fire - and they’re the department investigating it.

The entire block is under threat from the fire. If I’d gotten off at my normal stop I probably would have had to walk way around. Weird how these things work out.

There was a kangaroo at one of the fields at school this morning. We live nowhere near a zoo! 

Just have to mention that roos are not really zoo-worthy animals in Australia... Overseas maybe, and Healsville Sanctuary yes, but rarely zoos, I believe.

Strange, I was sure my entire rural school was a zoo... I mean, both the kangas and the kids. 

My little brother (7) was really sick yesterday, so he was just lying in the living room watching the kid's show 'Pocoyo'. Anyway, the duck's name is Pato, and I just realized that 'pato' literally means duck in Spanish. Then 'poco' means little and 'yo' means me or I... so the main character's name is literally 'little me'. And here's me watching this show for years and thinking the kid just had a weird name.

I've had less than 3.5hrs sleep, and now metro have basically blocked me from making my 9am class (currently stuck between two stations) and my 10am is a subject I'm not a fan of. Is this a sign that I'm as much of a shambles as the government rn? 🤔

I think you'd have to be going backwards to be in as much of a shambles as the government at the moment.

I can't remember exactly how long that segment usually takes but it's certainly not THAT

It usually takes 10-12 mins :') feels bad for the driver though, he sounded shook

I have finally arrived North Melbourne and very glad to off the train :')
