Gah, help me decide on a timetable

Right, time is running out and I cannot choose between two potential timetables:

Note that the LAW2101 tutorial on Thursday on the first option can be moved to Friday at the same time so I'm not just going in for one lecture.

Also note it takes me about 5 minutes to drive to Monash and 15 minutes by public transport. I is also likely that I will be looking for part time/casual work while studying.

So with that in mind, which option would you recommend?

Option 1 [by a fucking mile]:

It means you'll have a whole day off, plus two days that are 'optional'* (if you so choose to skip lectures). Leaving two mandatory days.

That is considered a /MassiveWin by any standards.

*'optional' is only optional if you can actually catch up and manage to pass. But seeing as you do law, I'm sure you are smart enough to know what study is required, or that you actually should attend your lectures if you have to.

option one. you start classes earlier which means you'll have more time to work after classes, especially on mondays and fridays and you'll have wednesday off every week just to work as well.

congrats on getting into law btw!

MUTTS... you search up your units, you tick the boxes you want, you generate a timetable

Best i could do.... but that management tutorial can be moved to 12:30pm. Whatever the case during that huge break I can either attempt to get some study done (I've heard I won't), go home and come back OR go to chadstone :P

EDIT: Option one btw - a whole day off! Plus you'll be done by 12 on Monday

@hyperblade01: I will bet after a few weeks, you'll stop going to Mondays as well due to 1) it's not important and 2) Monday-itis.

You will also probably stop going to the two chem lectures at 9AM, because 11AM starts sound so much more appealing.

You say it so casually :P as if its the norm and everyone's gonna do it

So after a few weeks, how many people are still gonna be going to lectures at 8, 9am? 30% of the original? 50%?

Yet, that Chem lecture stream has the highest popularity out of the three =.= The other two all are like 10,11,12 but then the other two have a friday one :P

Well thats great. I was gonna say if half stopped showing up I wouldn't be swayed but if you're saying FIFTEEN percentage...

Well... it always varies depending on the quality of the lecture, how good the lecturer is and such... but the numbers quickly dwindle.

Take my Jap lecture last semester for instance... 11am Mondays... about 120 students enrolled... about 20 showing up by week 3 (and it's an 11am class, not 9am).

Non-attendance is wide-spread and across the board. During the first week of classes, students who favour ticket-parking over permits will likely have extreme difficulty finding parking. Everyone comes first week. No-one cares by week 3.

This sounds interesting... does it apply to the start of semester 2 as well?

I'm taking public transport down but my parents are willing to pay for my all-day ticket parking if they need me to go from uni to somewhere else straight away (i dont know why...but whatever). They were actually gonna buy me a permit till they realised it was like $320 LOL.
