psychology exam commands

if you had a question that told you to "identify" four ethical principles in a research study, and you were given 4 lines to answer the question, would you explain how each principle was breached?

Personally I would just list each of them. That's normally what identify asks you to do...

If it was worth more than 2 marks I would probably do a sentence explanation of each one.

Spreadbury,
                 I would recommend you give a succinct outline of each principle/guideline for each line. The 4 lines seems like an implication to do so. You wouldn't need to explain how it was breached, as you weren't instructed to.

Ex: Beneficence: research must be designed to maximise any benefits to participants and society; protect participants from any type of harm.

if it said describe them and gave you four lines (one for each) can you just write the definition??? like withdrawl rights...or do you have to expand

the definitions do tend to describe them so if it was only 4 lines that'd definitely do. At most if you wanted to do more you could apply it to the study but unless asked for that's unnecessary.
2010: Chem, Lit, Bio, Psych and Further.
201_: Postgraduate Medicine...
